Countless revolutions began with evolution. To help us maintain competitive pricing for our farmers' grain, Gold-Eagle committed to the feed business. Transporting that grain into the Gold-Eagle mills meant trucks. Transporting contracted feed away from the mills required more trucks. The answer was obvious.
Today, 16 grain-hoppers, 24 feed-bottle trucks and numerous specialty trailers comprise our fleet. In addition, we keep 25 or more owner-operators busy hauling to and from our facilities. When the grain season tapers off, our company drivers reinvent themselves as the agronomy custom-application team. Our drivers are home every night and have most weekends off once the busy spring and fall seasons pass.
Our dispatcher coordinates the activities of more than 65 drivers, using two-way radios and cell phones. A dedicated maintenance staff in Eagle Grove keeps our units on the road as they handle all maintenance & repairs, DOT inspections, and operate our truck wash.
The nature of our business makes us biosecurity conscious, so our truck wash stays open when our trucks are running. And we're committed to safety as well. We like to see our drivers roll out, and we like knowing they'll be back.
