With a shorter season and volume lower growers are working to be done by the end of this month. Cool temperatures for the rest of the week with most days in the mid-50s cooling into the 40s for next Tuesday. Rain expected for the weekend. Movement and sales are moderate with the Asia export market slowing down recently. Most of the offerings are Blends and prices are trending down but still about steady. Prices for Blends mostly with Stuarts (nut count 60-70) 46-50% meat yields sold in a range of about $3.10-3.20 per point. Prices for Stuart Blends with 40-42% meat yields sold in a range of about $2.80-2.90 per point. Prices for Improved varieties of Stuarts (nut count 50-55) 46-49% meat yields $1.61-1.65 per pound, Sumner 51-53% meat yields sold in a range of about $170 per pound. Prices paid to growers (late afternoon Tuesday, December 19, 2023 thru late afternoon Thursday, December 21, 2023) at buyers delivery point or F.O.B. the orchard including direct sales to end users, cents per pound in-shell of generally good quality in lots of 20,000 pounds or less unless otherwise stated.
