What to Expect From Chubb’s Q2 2025 Earnings Report

With a market cap of $116.1 billion, Chubb Limited (CB) is a Zurich-based property and casualty insurance giant offering a wide range of coverage, from commercial and personal P&C insurance to accident, health, reinsurance, and life insurance services. It is expected to announce its fiscal Q2 earnings for 2025 after the market closes on Tuesday, July 22.
Ahead of this event, analysts project this insurance giant to report a profit of $5.84 per share, up 8.6% from $5.38 per share in the year-ago quarter. The company has a solid trajectory of consistently beating Wall Street's earnings estimates in each of the last four quarters.
For FY2025, analysts expect Chubb to report a profit of $21.21 per share, down 5.8% from $22.51 in fiscal 2024. Nonetheless, its EPS is expected to rebound in fiscal 2026, growing by 19.1% year over year to $25.27.

Shares of CB have soared 13.6% over the past 52 weeks, outpacing both the S&P 500 Index's ($SPX) 13.2% rise, but trailing the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund’s (XLF) 27.8% rise over the same time frame.

Chubb posted Q1 2025 earnings on Apr. 22, and its shares of CB fell over 2%. Its net income stood at $3.29 per share, down 38% year-over-year due to $1.64 billion in catastrophe losses, mainly from California wildfires. Core operating income fell 31% to $1.49 billion. Despite this, net premiums written grew 5.7% to $12.6 billion, with strong growth in both P&C and life segments.
Wall Street analysts are moderately optimistic about CB’s stock, with a "Moderate Buy" rating overall. Among 21 analysts covering the stock, nine recommend "Strong Buy," one suggests “Moderate Buy,” nine advise “Hold,” one gives a “Moderate Sell,” and one advocates a “Strong Sell” rating.
The mean price target for Chubb is $308.55, indicating a 6.5% potential upside from current levels.
